Account Types are used to capture information about the type of healthcare provider, organization, or health plan that you interact with to support your business area goals. Account Types may be further broken down into Account Subtypes. The Account Type and/or Subtypes selected may change the fields displayed and information captured that is associated with the type selected. The table below provides the listing of Account Types, how each Account Type is defined, and the Associated Account Subtypes within the Account Type.
Account Types and Associated Subtype Definitions

| Health System | An organization that includes at least one healthcare entity and/or at least one group of physicians that provides comprehensive care (including primary and specialty care) who are connected with each other and with the entity through common ownership or joint management. |

| Community Organization | A organization or group that operates at the local level and is primarily focused on addressing the needs and concerns of a specific community or population. These organizations are often founded and run by community members themselves and are deeply embedded within the communities they serve. |

| Facility | A Facility refers to a physical location or structure designed and equipped to serve a specific healthcare purpose or function. |

| Government Organization | A government organization is an entity established and operated by a government authority at the local, regional, national, or international level. These organizations play various roles in governance, administration, and public service delivery, including policy development, regulatory enforcement, public safety, public health, education, infrastructure development, and social welfare programs. Government organizations may include agencies, departments, ministries, and other administrative bodies responsible for specific functions or areas of public policy. |

| Health Plan | An health plan is a contractual arrangement or agreement that provides coverage for healthcare services to individuals or groups in exchange for payment of premiums or other forms of financial contributions. Health plans can be provided by various entities, including insurance companies, managed care organizations, government programs (such as Medicare and Medicaid), and employer-sponsored plans. |
