IPRO staff have access to two built-in Copilot agents from Microsoft: Researcher and Analyst.
- What is an “agent”? In Copilot, an agent is a helper that focuses on a specific kind of task. You ask it questions in plain language, and it helps by doing some of the thinking or organizing work for you.
- What is Researcher? Researcher is designed for deeper exploration. It looks across multiple reliable sources, analyzes what it finds, and synthesizes information into clear insights. It is especially useful when you need thoughtful context beyond a quick answer—such as digging into a complex healthcare topic, understanding research findings, or preparing well-rounded background notes.
- What is Analyst? Analyst helps you work with data, numbers, and lists. It can spot patterns, summarize information, and help answer questions based on data you provide. You can ask Analyst to summarize a spreadsheet, compare numbers across reports, or explain what trends it finds in a set of data.
These tools are meant to support your day-to-day work and do not require technical skills. You can interact with them just by typing questions the way you would ask a colleague.
