A software bug is a flaw or error in a computer program that causes unexpected or incorrect results. If you’re encountering what you think is a bug, try the following steps first before reporting the issue:
1. Refresh your screen.
2. Log out and log back in.
Sometimes solving the problem is just that simple! If that doesn't solve the problem, you should always talk with your business area Super User first, they may be able to quickly solve your request. If not, submit a support request and include the following information in the description field to help your Salesforce Support team solve the problem quickly.
- Steps to Reproduce - Numbered steps of what you were doing when the bug occurred.
- Outcome - What is the bug?
- Expected Result - What would you normally expect to see?
- Workaround Available - Is there a way to work around the issue?
- Severity - How urgent is the issue?
- Impact - Is this affecting just you or other people in your department?
